Unlike the air fares to Japan, the air fare of domestic flights in USA changes frequently. The air fare basically depends on which booking class to take and cheaper booking classes sell out immediately. Prices are also based on seasonality such as higher air fares around Christmas and New Year. It is also possible to make it cheaper by chaging your schedule for just a day. In the city where multiple airports are available such as New York City, it is possible to get it cheaper with Newark departure than from JFK. |

The other factor that changes the air fare is the time you actually purchase your air ticket due to the advance rule. Make your purchase 14 or 7 days prior to the departure in order to get a cheaper deal. Also, try to plan your air trip without any flights on Saturday. Saturday is usually the most expensive.
Be sure to know that domestic flights cannot be held for several days like other international flights. Pricings may change on the following day and auto-cancel policy may apply if you do not purchase on a same day you made your reservation. |
